Bio: Gwen Shockey has exhibited her artwork internationally and is a member of Amos Eno Gallery in Dumbo, Brooklyn where she also serves as the secretary of the Board and as the gallery’s Nonprofit Events Coordinator. In conjunction with her present involvement at Amos Eno, Gwen also acts as the program assistant for Art in a Box, a New York City based non-profit that partners with communities worldwide to promote empowerment through the arts. She assists with fundraising, development, and the writing and implementing of curricula for international art programs for underserved and abused women and children. She graduated from Connecticut College in 2010, where she concentrated in fine arts, gender studies and psychology.
